Academy at the Lakes Appoints Connor Associates for Strategic Enrollment Research

Connor Associates Strategic Services, LLC has been retained to conduct Enrollment Feasibility and Five-Year Forecasting Research for Academy at the Lakes, an independent school founded in 1992 in Land O’ Lakes, FL.

The Academy currently enrolls 483 students in PreK3 through grade 12 and is a co-ed, non-denominational college preparatory school. They recently acquired 47 acres nearby its current campus to be used for future expansion.

Typically, 100 percent of its graduates pursue their education beyond the secondary level. Over 80% are accepted by their first choice colleges. The 64 members of the 2014 and 2015 graduating classes earned over $5.5 million in merit scholarship offers.  For such a relatively new school, its graduates have already attended top colleges in 41 states.

In addition to solid academic offerings, the school offers visual and graphic arts, theater, choral and instrumental music, video production, as well as 14 sports.

Although the student population comes primarily from the Tampa region, the Academy has hosted students from China, Russia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, Canada, Italy, Ecuador, Cuba, and other nations in recent years.

Head of School Mark Heller describes the Academy’s commitment to what he calls the “Triad of whole child development – heads to know the good, hearts to love the good, and hands to do the good. They discover their authentic selves here, and celebrate the love of learning and the joy in the journey.”

Connor Associates Strategic Services, LLC is based in California and has served the market research, planning, and branding needs of 450 private, charter, and independent schools and colleges in the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia over the past 20 years.
