Based in Chicago, Armin joined Connor Associates in 2015. Previously, she has had a dynamic career in the education field, with a focus on integrating private educational facilities into communities.
While at Sylvan Learning for nearly ten years, Armin worked as Director of Education, as well as Center Director. During this time, Armin worked at five different centers, two of which she grew from a few students to the highest profiting centers in the country. She is most proud of the many students served, and the relationships built within each community until Sylvan was considered partners with the school system.
Armin was nominated Sylvan Center Director of the Year in 2009 among all Sylvan Center Directors in the country, and was also nominated to be the “Face of Sylvan” for advertisement on WICU, and for presenting awards to teachers through WGN’s Teacher of the Month program.
She also worked in the private sector of higher education, at Rasmussen College, as Director of Student Affairs, where she worked endlessly to build partnerships with community members, as the ultimate goal was to have graduates give back by becoming employed in their desired field within the community. She also championed the retention management and communication campus wide by working with each individual department.
Armin began her career in education teaching second grade in a Chicago charter school and earned her BS in Biology from University of Iowa. Overall, Armin’s experience has helped her best understand the importance of building a strong brand as well as a supportive community. She is a proficient Spanish speaker and is fluent in Farsi.
